Acquision- or Vending-Test

During the acquision- or vending-test, the technical condition of the printing press will be checked and a current value to the market evaluated and calculated. Age and service life are important factors, but configuration and additional or special equipment is as well important for a serious pricing.

In most of the contracts between vendor and buyer you can find an agreement, that the press has to print after the reinstallation and placing into operation: "as good as before" or "in the same quality as before dismantling". Usually, this "printing quality" is defined with an usual test print or specific client job. The evaluation is often made visually and this is generally in line with the industry standard.

The visual (and subjective) evaluation of the printing quality can be very tricky and may create many times great conflicts between vendor and buyer after the reinstallation when it comes to a handover after the placing into operation. Errors, shortcomings or lacks could have been overlooked and a serious comparing of the printing test results becomes to an unrealistic and impossible task. To avoid situations like this and to guarantee security for both parties, vendor and buyer, we offer an acquision- or vending test with the register messurig device LuchsIV for an exact, on metrological facts based evaluation of the printing press. This system guarantees a serious an independent comparing of the printing results before dismantling and after reinstalling.

Acquision/ Vending-Test procedure:

During the machine check procedure, everything will be documented with fotos (vending fotos, details, accessories and special equipment as well as damages or shortcomings). All results of the technical check will be listed in a very detailed inspection report.

The machine check is subdivided into three categories:

• technical press check

• cylinder check

• print quality check

At the technical press check, all technical relevant parts and functions will be inspected regarding their condition and wearout. The parts are checked partly metrological, partly optical depending of their function and importance.

During the cylinder check, all cylinders (especially printing-, blanket- and plate cylinder) will be inspected for optical damages and the rotation checked with a dial gauge. Already repaired damages will be documented and evaluated regarding the quality and condition.

At the print quality test, the printing quality of the press will be documented and evaluated. Additional to the obligate print test with the register measuring system LuchsIV, the check includes as well kiss printing, infeed test, and several printing-combinations of different units. Perfecting presses will be checked in straight and perfecting mode.
